Hi. I _am_ still alive.

What's new? Nothing. Just got back from a road trip to BC. I miss my home. I still hate it here, and it does not seem I am going to start enjoying it anytime soon. I suppose I just need to change my attitude but it is really difficult when you must leave behind your friends and family, abandoning your entire support network. Sorry Edmontonians, but your city is teh suxx0r.

As for Gentoo type stuff, all I can say is this infighting on the -dev list has got to die. When the developers of your choosen operating system act like little bitches on a public mailing list all you can do is shake your head. Got a problem with a dev or user on the ML? Killfile them and get on with life. Sheesh...hopefully this "Draft Code of Conduct for Gentoo" will help, but I doubt it. Seems to me whiny bitches and trolls will be whiny bitches and trolls no matter what. This seems to be confirmed by the fact that some devs are _still_ bitching at each other in the "Introducing the Proctors" thread on -dev, as well as the original thread that started this whole goddam thing, even though several people have asked them to chill out or take it off-list.

As for the continued health of Gentoo I don't know what to think. Some responses on -dev seem to imply that the death of Gentoo is right around the corner, and just as many say that the developer status is as good as it ever was. So which is it?
